After a very successful first year at our Tewkesbury Space Depot it’s now time to further expand the storage capacity of The Space Program and start filling up the remainder of the site.
Work began back in May and started with the bottom end of the yard being flattened and relaid with gravel and tarmac. This would allow our customer easy access to their containers.
Next we worked on tidying up the famous water tower which is situated in our yard. The water tower was part of the Ashchurch railway goods depot which sat alongside the mainline from Bristol to Birmingham which is now our storage depot. Although the railway has gone the mainline is still very active. As we couldn’t knock the water tower down it was decided to give it a freshen up and a lick of our famous orange paint. We will work on converting and restoring the inside of the water tower, but this will be done during our Phase 3 upgrade.
With the yard now in order, we are just waiting for our shiny new 30 containers to arrive and be set down ready for our you, our customers, to use.
