Improve Play Opportunities
Provide better play opportunities for your students by having play equipment that is quick and easy to get out and put away and is safely secured away when not in use. The children can even do it.
We have provided schools all over the country with steel storage containers for PE equipment storage or for school play equipment storage so that it is readily accessible for games lessons and at playtimes. Some schools have used them in playgrounds to store creative play equipment which encourages imaginative play in all children, helping support the development of problem solving and social skills. Other schools are using them to store more traditional play equipment such as football goals, flags, rugby post protectors, tackle bags and balls. The equipment is easily accessible on the playing fields and does not need to be carried to and from the buildings for every lesson. Using the storage container has the added benefit keeping the muddy equipment out of your buildings.
Primary School improves creative play opportunities
Gillingstool Primary School recognised that play provision needed to be more creative. Using containers they created their own “playpods” to provide secure playground storage for a wide variety of low cost play equipment. From local sources they obtained boxes, tubes, pipes, tyres, tarpaulins, bamboo canes, cushions, drapes, nets and ropes to support imaginative and creative play opportunities. Using a few simple playground installations, children build dens and other structures resulting in more varied and exciting playtimes.
